Women Reaching Out was originally founded in 2011 to fill the void for women that existed after completing a state-regulated treatment service. Elizabeth Utterback is a Licensed Addiction Certified Addiction Counselor with a Master’s in Social Work and has over twenty years as an Addictions Counselor. She was alarmed by what she saw; feeling she was behind ‘bars’— even though they were invisible—because she had low self-esteem, hated herself, and was a people pleaser so that others would like her. “I realize that I needed to look beyond my mask and provide support to women who were hurting like me.” People celebrate what they know!
